additionally the concept of reflecting on past mistakes and actively learning from these experiences- thinking about the part where she referenced the scholar that critiqued her own work and suggested a new direction of thinking
a call to stop generalizing things in gender studies and assuming all experiences of oppressed women are similar

it is really difficult to separate gender studies and religious studies- im thinking of Jeffrey Kripal at this moment- and how religion is so gendered and completely dependent on traditional roles

giving these women autonomy, using their stories to challenge these biased lenses

there's so much dialogue about this issue as well and it doesn't seem like we can really trust any of it
