Main point - needs to cover all paragraph and the conclusion 
Tone / Attitude - understand the author point of view/position - find "feeling words". Just facts means: neutral tone
If you identify the purpose of the passage, you can *map the structure
Purpose of a passage: 1) tell a story, 2) correct a record – offer a new explanation, 3) compare and contrast, 4) advocate and defend, 5) criticize
EXTRACT QUESTIONS: information or abstract, and inference (fact test)

5 minute left - letter of the day and do specific questions (associated with the paragraph) so you don't need to read the entire passage, you can read only the first and last sentences of each paragraph
