Idea 2 - Mountain Climbing Runner
Collectables
Coins - increase score
Clocks - Increase time
Power-ups - Single use, can clear enemies and obstacles in front of you
Gameplay
Endless - Can keep going forever until you run out of time
Arcade style - aim is to get high score
Auto-scrolls level as you move up, you die if you fall off the bottom when not quick enough
Hazards
Big baddie at the top of the mountain (you can never reach it)
Baddie throws rocks and enemies at you
Walls appear you must navigate around
Going off the bottom of the screen due to the auto scroll loses all your lives
Rocks - move straight down past you, if you get hit you lose a life
Enemies - land on your path and move around. If you touch one you lose a life
Idea 1 - Exploration Game
Central area - mountain
Side Area - Grasslands
Flatter area, easy to navigate
Not much jumping or difficult platforming to do
Limited enemies
Collectables easy to see and collect
Side Area - Swamp
Jumps/platforming over the swamp, not too hard
Enemies that emerge from the swamp
Collectables that are hard to get to but not hidden
Side Area - Ice
Ground is slippery making for hard jumps
Some hidden collectables
Medium amount of enemies
Side Area - Lava Volcano
Collectables hidden and hard to get
Many enemies
Instant-kill lava you can fall into
Once all areas completed by collecting key, return to central mountain to fight boss as gate is open
Climb mountain, many enemies to avoid
Boss fight at the top of mountain
Game is won when boss defeated

Trophies - extra lives
Power-Ups - used for defeating enemies

Keys - opens gate for boss at mountain - requires all 4, one from each area
