Dionysis dinking buddy and father figure---> Salinas
found by peasents and brought by King Midas that hosted him
he asked to have the ability to turn everithing he touched into gold
stones, and everithing including apples, forks, bread, wine and water
knew he was going to die and cried
daughter saw him sad and tought him for confort
she became gold stone
he begged Dionysis to take it away from him
he had mercy as he did not intend to hurt him
God adviced hime to go in river and begged that his powers would be taken away
he did so--> river and everything in it turned into gold
after this:
King refused every form of wealth and moved in the fields and forests in simple and humble way
king of Phrygia, greedy and foolish
God Dionysis was happy his frind was beeing treated so well-- offered to do anything Midas wanted
King was than freed from curse and alll that was turned in gold turned back
