• I am a very dependable and dedicated worker. I believe that I have a very strong work ethic.
• In a job position, I value a respectful environment where I can develop a strong connection with my co-workers. Being a designer, it’s also important for me to work in a fun and creative place.
Fiscal Responsibilities/Needs
• After creating my budget, I would have everything covered with a little bit of money left over. However, by cutting down on some things like eating out I can put that money towards more fun and enjoyable activities.
• My current spending habits are not very good at the moment. Being a college student, my friends and I often take breaks to go out to get coffee or to eat. Sometimes just grabbing food through the drive thru is the only thing I have time to do. But, after graduation I will be more cautious of how I am spending my money.
• After researching living expenses, I realize that I would eventually like to save money to make a long-term investment to buy a house. Of course, I would need to pay off my student loans and other odds and ends. But I could start saving money by cutting back on eating out and making smarter decisions when shopping.
• Yes, the type of work that I will be doing aligns with my personality. I took a personality test and the results showed that I am a “Defender” personality. This is the short description given for individuals with this type of personality.

• Once I have a steady source of income, I would like to start saving at least 25% of my paycheck into either savings or my retirement. I want to make sure that I can live comfortably right now, but also plan ahead for my future. I don’t want to work till I’m too old, so if I start saving for retirement right now, I will have a good amount when I retire.
• My long-term financial goals are to eventually put a down payment on a house. After buying the house, I would like to really focus on my savings and retirement. I think it is always a good thing to keep plenty of money in your savings account in case something unexpected happens. Life is unpredictable, so knowing that you have some sort of backup and security reduces a lot of financial anxiety.

• Some graphic design trends that are currently going on in the industry are using less saturated colors, simple data visuals and designing with geometric shapes. With the rise of AI and technology constantly evolving there has been many boosts to the graphic design world. 3D design, I believe will become increasingly popular over this year and years to come. • There are many sources out there that say different things about the growth and job outlook for Graphic Design. However, I have found multiple sources that state there will be a growth in the industry. One source mentioned that it is projected to have a 3% growth in graphic designer employment each year.

o The areas within graphic design that are expected to grow are video editing, mobile advertising and design. There are also newer types of design that are expected to grow as well including user experience, 3D design, etc.
Graphic Design Growth
• Thinking about my 5-10-year plan, I don’t think that I will need to pursue an additional degree, however I am not going to eliminate that possibility. As the industry continues to evolve and change, I might find myself back at school pursuing another degree of a higher form. If I would need to go back and get a Master’s degree I would study marketing and business. I believe those two things are a very important part within the graphic design field. But I think that if I get certifications in my field and keep up to date on the latest trends, I shouldn’t have to go back to get a Master’s degree or another Bachelor’s degree.
