Girls were expected to be good mothers who would give Italy a large population
Children were taught to call Mussolini "Il Duce" and that he was the only man that could lead Italy to greatness

Wanted to achieve economic stability and an end to unemployment

Aimed to redirect the economy to prepare Germany for war
Factories produced less consumer goods
Unemployment was almost completely gone by 1938 due to more industry to help the war effort
Italy
Based off of capitalism and socialism
Government took over bankrupt businesses that fell during the Great Depression
Ideas of autarky and self-sufficiency
Doubled the number of Italian bureaucrats
Bank Reform Act of 1936
Many banks of Italy became government entities
Cultural policies
Germany
Wanted a full Aryan population
Euthanized people with disabilities/forbade them from having children
All aspects of the media/propaganda were controlled by Goebbels
Painted Hitler as a supreme leader who should be worshipped almost
Most German homes had a radio so that they could listen to the Nazi propaganda
Hosted the Olympics in 1936, gave the rest of Europe a positive view of them
Italy
Extreme propaganda centered around Mussolini
Machismo: painted Mussolini as a strong leader
Promoted nationalism by wanting to take over other countries
Il Popolo d'Italia promoted the image of Mussolini
All other newspapers were banned
