Cambridge International Examination
Differences
CIE is more linguistically and culturally informed by Britain's national curriculum
IB programs are considered to be flexible, educational frameworks that can be adapted to each school's specific needs
CIE participating schools generally follow a clearer set of curricular goals and objectives than schools with IB programs, which are meant to serve as a guideline
IB programs do not have a set of textbooks or materials but CIE has a list of recommended books and readings in preparation for their assessments
Schools provide IB frameworks to support their students while they complete their diplomas
Schools have curriculums and specific programs or courses to help students pass the examination
