Big C: bigger innovations/ stretches over many domains
Pro C: professional innovation/ only stretches across one domain
Little C: Creativity that is involved in learning/ the moment the material clicks for a student
Mini-c: the nonacadmic creativity that is a part of everyday life
4P View of Creativity:
person: the individual who's characteristics include creativity
Place: an enviorment that is made to encourage creativity
product: critiquing the creativity of an outcome
process: actions or behaviors that model creativity
Creativity as a Trait: the idea that creativity just comes naturally to some people and not for others
Creativity as a State: the idea that with the proper content anybody can be creative
Tolerance Test of Creativity: a test that can be done to judge one's creativity
fluency: the total amount of meaningful ideas that are produced
originality: the uniqueness of the creativity that is produced
Flexibility: the total amount of conceptual ideas that are produced
Elaboration: the total amount of detail that is found in the response
Consensual Assessment: a test that determines the creativity in the group
Creative Problem Solving
preparation: researching and investigating the problem
Incubation: unconsciously thinking about the problem
Illumination: appearance of a general insight
Verificiation: validating the idea and determining its effectiveness
Convergent Thinking: focusing on one, most best fit idea
Divergent Thinking: focusing on various amount of ideas
