The main Incas

The emperor is called Capac Inca ("The mighty Inca") was considered the highest authority of the empire, his family and the military were part of the imperial court. The heads of states (theirs) are called "curacas", their capital was the city of Cuzco. Each Ayllu organized a community aid (Mingas) and during the war they took female slaves (Yanaconas) to serve the entire empire.

Roads and Bridges

Chasquis

They made a system of roads, they built suspension bridges, roads that served the Chasquis and their armies to cross the rivers. The Incas divided the total production into three parts: one for the people, another for the Sun god, and another for the Sapac Inca.

They were the official messengers of the Inca Empire who train to run long distances. Capac Ñan means the Inca Trail, this path unites all four of theirs.

Pachacutec is characterized by:

to expand the town, to organize the chasquis, to use the quipus (an accounting system and possibly a writing system) and because he divided the empire into four of his "Tahuantisuyo".

Tupac Yupanqui is characterized by:

being the X Inca, for expanding the empire immensely, for improving tax collection and because he could not defeat the Norandine Confederation.

Huayna Capac is known for:

be the XI Inca, for defeating the Chachapoyas and for ordering the construction of Ingapirca, in Azuay, a palace located in the Hatun fortress. On a trip to Quito, several of his court, including himself, fell ill with smallpox. He died in 1475.

Your culture

The Incas respected the religion of the conquered, but demanded worship of their Sun god.

They built temples for the women "VIRGINS DEL DIOS SOL"

They imposed the Quechua language.

They developed huge highways for the chasquis.
