Poverty

- Created Economic Opportunity Act which created the Job Corps to train young men and women between 16 and 21 to help them get out of poverty.
- Also, the Economic Opportunity Act allowed for more affordable daycare for the poor, so they can work
- Percentage of Americans living below the poverty line dropped 12%
