Due to the foetus developing faster than any other part of their body, their head looks very large. Their toes are separating. They've started to sleep, wake up and exercise their muscles. Their arms bend at the elbow.
Week 11
The foetus' brain. lungs, liver and kidneys have formed. The foetus can breathe amniotic fluid and urinate. All systems are functioning and will continue to mature for birth. They're already stretching and kicking.
Week 12
Foetus is now around 6cm in length. Their face is looking more human. Its hair has now begun to grow and fingers and toes have small soft nails. Their mouth has 20 tiny buds which will become baby teeth.
