Recents screen

Recents provides an efficient way of switching between recently used applications. It provides a clear navigation path between multiple ongoing tasks

The Recents button at the right side of the navigation bar displays the apps that the user has interacted with most recently. They are organized in reverse chronological order with the most recently used app at the bottom.

  1. Go to Home screen page on which you want to stick the launcher
  1. Tap the Apps icon to display the Apps drawer. Find the icon of the apps that you want to stick at the launcher.
  1. Tap on the icon, press it long and drag to Home Screen. Release app where you desire by lifting your finger

Managing Widgets

The app hasn’t moved.

What you see is a copy or shortcut.

You can still find the app in the Apps drawer, but now the app is also available — more conveniently — on the Home screenng your finger

  1. Click on the desired apps
  1. Drag it to another position on the Home screen.
  1. If you drag to the far left or far right of the screen, the item is sent to another Home screen page.

Remove apps (launcher)

  1. Drag that item up to the top of the Home Screen page, where the Remove icon lurks (appear).
  1. The Remove icon can appear as shown in the figure.
  1. When the item hovers over that part of the screen, lift your finger. The apps will be gone when the Remove icon disappear. If its still there, you might have done it wrong.

Create folders

  1. Switch to a Home screen page that has enough room for the new widget.
  1. Access the widgets.– On newer phones, long-press a blank part of the Home screen. Tap the Widgets icon.
  1. Long-press the widget you want to add.
  1. Drag the widget to the Home screen.
  1. Lift your finger.

  1. Click and hold on the desired widget.
  1. Drag it to a preferred home screen. You can see an almost invisible widget moving along your swiping movement.
  1. You can either move it to the left or right side of the screen. You must drag it to right most or left most of screen before it can be moved.
  1. Once you reached the desired home screen, release the widget

Create folders by

  1. Drag one launcher over another on the Home screen. Be quick! When the two launchers get close, a circle encloses them, which provides visual feedback that a folder is created.

  1. Some phones require that you first create a folder

Change folders name

Folders are managed just like other items on the Home screen. You can rearrange folder icons and remove them just like launchers and widgets. Removing a folder doesn’t uninstall its enclosed apps.

To change a folder’s name, open the folder and then tap the current name. Use the onscreen keyboard to type a new name

  1. To remove a launcher from a folder, open the folder and drag out the icon.
  1. When the second-to-last icon is dragged out of a folder, the folder is removed.
  1. If not, drag the last icon out, and then remove the folder as described in the earlier slide.
  1. Open the Play Store app.
  1. Choose My Apps & Games from the navigation drawer.
  1. Tap the Installed tab.
  1. Choose the app that you want to uninstall. Then tap the UNINSTALL button.
  1. Tap the OK button to confirm.
