Background/Introduction
There are many issues surrounding the form of assessment for listening and speaking skills.
Classroom-based assessment (CBA) was introduced in line with the aspiration in National Education Philosophy (NEP) following the announcement in the letter ‘Surat Siaran Lembaga Peperiksaan Bil. 3/2011’. CBA is a holistic assessment which includes the evaluation of cognitive, affective and psychomotor which conform to the NEP (Tan J.Y. & Kenayathulla 2020)
