Matter vibrates in an energy field.
An electron or atom enjoys a tiny amount of consciousness. But as matter becomes more resonant, synced up and interconnected, so does consciousness. Linkages that allow for large-scale consciousness e.g., mammals, result from shared resonance among many smaller constituents.
Speed of resonant waves is limiting factor determining complexity of conscious entity. As shared resonance expands to more constituents, new conscious entity that results grows more complex. So shared resonance in human brain that achieves gamma synchrony, includes far larger number of neurons and neuronal connections than for beta or theta rhythms alone.
