WHAT' S A COLONY?
The colony is a region of land that is under the political control of another country.
The colonies are founded by the people of HOME COUNTRY
MANY INFORMATION
The colonies enjoyed a lot of freedom. The colonies had their own leaders.
Also, because Britain was often at war, it didn't always pay close attention to the colonies.
In 1765 the British passed a law called the Stamp Act. According to this act, all printed material had to be done on paper produced in London.
In 1767, the Townshend Acts taxed tea, painting, paper, and sugar and the glass that enters colonial ports.
The final battle was in Yorktown. On the 1783 the war ended and the American were a country (Treaty of Versailles).
The Battle of Saratoga was in New York and the US Army won, from America we can found Spain, the France and the Dutch Republic
THE SEVEN YEARS WAR
The Seven Tears War was beethween the English and the Franch people. The British won the war and they wanto to have much power up the colonies
BOSTON MASSACRE
To keep order, the British government sent soldiers to Boston in 1770
It was a huge massacre.
BOSTON TEA PARTY
In 1773 the settlers protested and in Boston Harbor they threw their cargo of tea in water.
CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
THE SECOND CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
The Second Continental Congress met at Philadelphia in 1775. George Washington was the head of the US militaryMeanwhile a battle took place at Brunker Hill.
THE FIRST CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
Georgia was not in Congress. They didn't want the taxes and they didn't want to pay the debts.
These acts were called Intorreble Acts. The First Continental Congress was a varied congress.
