Traffic
Environmentally friendliness
School
Extending city transport - why?
Travelling in town
Living a medium distance away from school
Living near the school (1-3km)
Living far from school (20km+)
Bicycle
Car
Walking
Train/Bus/Metro, etc...
Plane
The second most evironment-friendly - only reason to be second is that it still needs to be produced. Otherwise it keeps you fit.
The most environment friendly and even keeps you fit
The worst of all. It creates a lot of greenhouse gases and requires a lot of resources to be produced.
It is kind of environment friendly because it is just a big car, but it contains not 1 or a maximum of 5 people, but around 20 or more
It produces a lot of greenhouse gases but carries around 50 people or so.
Walking
Taxi
Bicycle
It keeps you fit and prefect for shorter distances if you are not in a hurry.
Travelling by foot is very healthy but can take up a lot of time if you have to travel a long distance by foot.
Only used when in an unknown region where you can not get about. The most expensive but the most comfortable transport
Traffic jams
smog
it is pretty usual in bigger cities like London and Budapest
Public transport
If you travel a longer distance then it is a good option
In bigger cities it is likely to face smogs some days.
There are a lot of factories in big towns (ex.: Dunaújváros) so a lot of smoke and greenhouse gases are released
As a lot of people travel by their car they produce a lot of gases
a lot of people live here -> More cars -> Jams occur more often
If more people would use public transport then jams would be a lot rarer as fewer people would use their cars
People who live around 10-20kms away from school tend to go to school by car, bus, train as it would take a lot of time to go by bike or foot
There are 2 types of people - The ones who go to college so they will not have to travel the long distances every morning -
And the people who rather take the bus at 5am
These are the people who leave their houses at 7:50 and still get to school by 7:55 because they only have to walk for a maximum of 10 minutes or ride their bikes for 2 minutes
