Classroom Observation
Language:
speech disorders: struggling to say the correct word or sound, speaking very softly, adding sounds or syllables to words
the speech-language pathologist (SLP) examines how a student moves their lips, jaw, and tongue
If you feel like it's not enough, talk to my grade level team, so they can share their experience
teacher-admin-counselor meeting to discuss the need of OT screening, speech-language pathologist (SLP) or psycologyst diognostic
contact parents
with parents, permission SEN department screening the child in the area of concern and creates a program regarding the student's needs

OT Signs:
wiggling, lack of focus/hyperfocus, often runs into objects, poor posture, not interacting with others,hyperactive
therapy putty, Hokki chair, standing table, chewing necklace, separate sit or work with an IA in a quiet area (hallway/bookroom), make a student crab-walk(to release some energy), have a little water-bathroom breaks

Social/Emotional:
gets angry easily, cries with no reason, bystander on the playgound, not showing emotions
deep breathing and count to 10,talk about what happened and how teacher can help

Academical:
poor grades, gets easily distracted, can't focus,not organized well if compared to peers
adjust instructions, spread out the assignmet to accomplish step by step, give more time, sit separatley or work with an IA in a quiet area (hallway/bookroom)
