        We have 5 sense organs that contain receptors that allow the ody to respond to a simulus
- - - - Receptors: Thay detect stimuli and they convert them into electrical signals
      - Effectors: They carry out our response
    - - Nerves: They are made of groups of neurons, the neurons trasmit the electrical signal
        
        The neurons are made of
        
        Dendrites: Connect to other neurons

        Myelin sheath : Surrounds and protects the axon
        
        Cell body: Contains all the usual parts
      - THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM ( CNS )

        Consists of millions of nerve fibres

        They therefore cant be used for things that need a quick response

        Regulating the levels of substances of the body
    - - Homeostasis mantains the constant internal environment

        Keeping the body temperature close to 37
        
        Negative feedback is like the thermostat of our bodies
        
        If the temperature increases, the body acts to reduce it
        
        If the temperature decreases, the body acts to increase it
        
        Mantaining the correct levels of various substances of the blood
        
        Regulating blood sugar: Our body sugar level is regulated y two hormones: Insulin and glucagon
