Court of appeals
There are 13 courts of appeals in the united states.
Judges can uphold the decision of a lower court and an oustance before they can retry.
If someone is convicted of a crime they thought it wasn't fair
Each court of appeals has a panels of judges of cases that were tried appropriately.
The ninth circuit is in San Francisco.
Supreme Court location is in Washington
Cases heard lost the appeal at the court of appeals.
Thousands are submitted but only 100 can be heard.
If the court decides to hear a case the courts decision is final.
District Court
The federal justice is pointed by the president and serve life terms.
Lower federal coarts are divied on cases over which they have jurisdiction.
Each state at least has one district court
There are five federal courthouse in Montana and we have three district judges.
