Immune system
Types of immunity
inmunidad innata:everyone is born with innate (or natural) immunity, a type of general protection
Passive immunity:Passive immunity is a type of protection "borrowed" from an external source and is short-lived. For example, the antibodies in breast milk provide the baby with temporary immunity against diseases to which her mother had been exposed.
Adaptive Immunity: Adaptive (or active) immunity develops throughout a person's life. Adaptive immunity develops when people are exposed to or become immunized to diseases through vaccines.
Immunological barriers
Barrier surfaces are the first to come into contact with pathogens and overlap to prevent infection.
