BASIC TERMS RELATED TO ELTPs
Curriculum basicaly refers to the contract between society, the state and educational professionals with regard to the educational activities that learners should undergo during a certain phase of their lives to the learn something desirable ( Khwaja, et al, 2014)
It includes the things such as:
books
videos
units
assessments
assignments
materials
lessons
presentations
projects
There are four types of curriculum
✅ Explicit
✅ Implicit
✅Null
✅ Extracurricular
Lessons that emerge from the culture of the school and the behaviors, attitudes, and expectations that characterize that culture
The subjects that will be taught, and the knowledge that the school expects succesfull students to acquire
consists of what is not taught. For instance,we teach war but not peace. It sends the message to the students. For example, it consists of values, ideas, artworks etc.
Includes school-sponsored opportunities that fall outside of academic requirements prescribed on the local and state levels. for example, sport, music, academic clubs
CURRICULUM GOALS
Curriculum goals are general, broad statements that lead towards long-term outcomes.
As Okai (2010) indicated, the term syllabus refers to an outline or list of topics students are supposed
study in a given year or specified period of learning. It can tell us nearly everything we need to know about how lessons or courses will be run

They are programmatic
they refer to the accomplishment of groups rather than individuals
Objectives are statements that describe the end-points or desired outcomes of the curriculum, a unit, a lesson plan, or learning activity.

Learning outcomes are statements of the knowledge, skills and abilities individual students should possess and can
demonstrate upon completion of a learning experience or sequence of learning experiences
Learning outcomes should (be):

rely on active verbs in the future tense. ✅
align with the program’s curriculum. ✅
simple and not compound ✅
focus on learning products and not the learning process. ✅
TEACHING PROGRAMS
A teaching programme is a shared plan specifying how the studies included in a degree programme/specialisation are offered to students
