What are hydrocarbons?
Any class of organic chemical compunds composed only of a carbon (H) and hydrogen (H) atoms. As in if everything were composed of just hydrogen and carbon. Everything would be a hydrocarbon.

the exploration of hydrocarbons started in 1936, it was the discovery of 200 oil and gas accumulations. Devonian syn-rift series is the main hydrocarbon producer.
