Pure substances:
It has no particles of any other substance mixed with it. It is one type of atom or molecule, It’s all the same thing and it has unique physical properties.
Element:
It is a substance that cannot be broken down into anything simpler. Elements are just what's on the periodic table and it contains only one kind of atom.
Compound:
It consists of two or more elements chemically combined. The compound is described by a formula, made from the symbols of the atoms in it.
Mixture:
Substance consisting of two or more substances mixed together, not in fixed proportions and not chemically bonded.
Homogeneous mixture:

Solution:
An homogenous mixture of two or more substances in relative amounts that can be varied continuously up to what is called the limit of solubility.

In many substances, the particles consist of two or more atoms joined together. These particles are called molecules.
