-The Arctic ecosystem is very fragile; Its plant resource is the phytoplankton of the sea, because in most of the land nothing grows. Whales, seals, fish live in the open sea.

-Oceans together with rivers and lakes form the hydrosphere; that is to say, the global set of waters of the planet earth. The oceans contain 96% of the liquid water on Earth.

-The Antarctic glacial ocean, also known as the southern or southern bony ocean, extends from the Antarctic coast up to 60% to the south.

-It is the warmest and the one with the most salinity. This ocean is heavily traveled by oil tankers from its sources in the Gulf of Indonesia to the markets of Southeast Asia.
