Formative assessments are used to gather feedback from the students and adjust instruction. Formative assessments are usually not a grade.
Exit ticket is a quick assignment anything from a quick write to a quiz that is given at the end of the day to check and see what your students learned that day and what they still need to work on.
interim/bencgmark assessment is used to figure out where your students are and where to go from there.
