Paget Disease
Abnormal bone metabolism. This includes resorption, osteoblastic repair remineralization

What does it involve?
The pelvis, femur, spinal column, tibia and skull. It also affects the maxilla more than the mandible
What happens?

When bones of the skull are affected, the patient may experience severe headaches, dizziness, and deafness
Radiographically:

May also see hypercementosis, loss of lamina dura, and obliteration of the PDL
Diagnosis: clinical, radiographic, and histological

Treatment
One intravenous dose of bisphosphonate zoledronic acid can keep an individual in remission for up to 6 yrs.

Is a slowly progressive disease. Can cause fractures, malignant tumors (osteosarcoma) and, rarely, heart disease

Treatment: for children vitamin D and dietary calcium, for adults is based on the identification of the cause

Aneurysmal Bone Cyst

Consists of blood-filled spaces surrounded by multinucleated giant cells and fibrous connective tissue
