Work and Travel Program USA
Definition
Work and Travel is a student cultural exchange programme that allows students from all over the world to stay in a particular country, in America or Europe, during the summer months and, together with students from other countries of the world, to do seasonal work in various companies.
Educational program
It allows foreign students to learn and improve their English.
The US government has approved our partners (sponsors) to find jobs for programme participants in the US and grant them a work permit (work visa) for up to four months and a one-month tourist visa (like a work visa) part).
Approved Sponsors
Also, SPONSORS are authorized by the United States Information Agency (USIA) to be agents in securing the DS-2019 document, which is evidence that a named student has been admitted to the Program.
Experiences
It allows them to develop life and work experiences; enabling them to meet and associate with American students as well as students from all over the world.
Presentation
Program Work and Travel USA is presented by the US Government as a cultural exchange program aimed at students from other countries to get familiar with American culture.
Requirements
All programme participants must be fluent in English and be committed to working for at least three months. Some foreign students may work for up to five months.
The maximum length of stay is determined by the Council of State and depends in part on typical university schedules in each country.
Agencies
The agencies are engaged in the search for vacancies with sponsors, will organize the vacancies and prepare the necessary documents for participation.
Agencies are also engaged in health and safety issues and are available to help solve any problems which may arise for students during their stay in the USA.
Travel
Once the J-1 visitor programme ends, he or she may remain in the United States for another 30 days (commonly referred to as the "grace period") to prepare for departure from the United States.
Applicants may remain in the United States until the end of the exchange plan specified on the DS-2019 form.
