The story mountain
Celia is travelling to her brother as he has not seen her recently and is not answering her texts.
The bridge snaps and she falls into the Ice River. It's cold.
A Featherwing rescues her and at first she is terrified, but then her nerves settle a bit.
The Featherwing teaches her the way it lives, and a bond develops between the two.
Celia invents a collar that allows the Featherwing to speak her language, the Featherwing is delighted.
Celia shows the Featherwing her home, but it gets taken to a Netcell, a prison for animals, a zoo. The Featherwing thinks that Celia got him caught on purpose.
Celia goes to rescue him, and at first, the Featherwing doesn't understand. Then their bond is repaired again.
Featherwing allows Celia to ride him to see her brother in Globe city. He agrees to stay out of sight.
Her brother has a broken leg and it will be damaged forever, but he still wants to visit Celia.
