Thermal Expansion: Thermal expansion is an increase in the volume of a substance in response to an increase in its temperature.
-
Friction: Friction is a force that works to slow down motion as a result of surfaces rubbing against each other.
Flow Rate: The flow rate of a fluid is a measure of the speed at which a fluid flows from one point to another.
-
Buoyancy: Buoyancy is the tendency of an object in a fluid to rise or sink due to density differences with its surroundings.
-
-
-
-
Incompressible: Materials in a liquid state are said to be incompressible,

Different uses of fluids
-
Other uses
Oil is added to the engine of a car to decrease friction, and to reduce noise, heat, and wear.
-
Fluids can hold other materials. Example: Fluids can hold abrasive particles to clean other surfaces, such as marble, metal, and your teeth
Fluids become solids. Example: A slurry of ,vater and cement is easy to transport. As it hardens, the cement can be shaped to become a smooth and level concrete sidewalk
Density & Pressure
-
What is pressure?
Force is the force applied perpendicular to the surface of an object per unit area over which that force is distributed.
