Cyberbullying comic - Coggle Diagram
Cyberbullying comic
genre
Slice of life
This may the best choice for this brief as this genre is inherently designed to be similar to real life and therefore relatable, allowing for the target audience being more likely to apply what they learn from the comic into their daily life
fantasy
This type of genre may be better for getting readers more exited and willing to read the comic strip due to the intriguing aspects a fantasy comic can in tale, however it is not as good for allowing the reader to relate with the comic strip meaning using the genre might fail to have the overall purpose of the comic which is to educate teens about cyberbullying.
superhero
Similar to fantasy , it is inherently more intriguing then slice of life, however , it is less relatable then slice of life, this could make it harder for the target audience to see themselves in the characters and therefore use what they learn from the story in day to day life, however there are many stories that incorporate slice of life elements into superhero stories however in this comic strip there is not enough time for the story to happen for that to be an effective choice here
Audience
-
I will specifically have my target audience as girls as studies show they are 3x more likely to have issues with cyber bullying then boys.
I will be targeting people locally so i can appeal to them more then appeal less but to a larger group, it will also make physical distribution easier
characters
The characters should be ordinary people so that the target audience can imagine themselves in the characters
The people doing the cyberbullying should be shown to not be offense to any group that a character might be from
While the charters should be ordinary people, they should not be dull or empty shells, this would be a turn of and make the audience dislike the characters rather than see themselves in them
-
Fonts
-
calligraphy/handwriting
This does not fit very well in a comic but it is stereotypical liked by the target audience, however it should not be used to suit b people of different tastes
Locations
Places in hedge end
As my audience is based locally i should use locations they are familiar with to better appeal to them.
