al the components are conected one after the other . Current flows through all the load devices
Parallel circuits
In these circuits the load devices are connected on different branches they are several posible paths for the electric current
Series-parallel combination
These circuits contain devices connected in series and in pararllel
COMPONENTS OF A CIRCUIT
RESISTOR: A load device that opposes the flow of the electric current.
WIRE: The component that electric current flows through.
BUZZER: Convertselectrical energy to sound energy.
ONE-WAY SWITCH:
MOTOR: Converts electrical energy to light energy.
PUSH SWITCH
LAMP: Convertselectrical energy to light energy.
TWO-WAY SWITCH
BATTERY: A grouped set of cells.
CELL: Supplies electrical energy to the rest of the circuit. They have positive and negative terminals.
