TWO-WAY SWITCH: they have two positions. When we press them, they change from one position to the other.
Open Circuits and Closed Circuit Circuits are controlled by switches that open and close the circuit when they are pressed.
Closed circuit: when yhe energy of the power source reaches the load devices, so the electric curent flows.
Open circuit: when the energy of the power source cannot reach the load devices, so the electric current cannot flow.

Power sources: components that suply the necessary electrical energy to the rest of the circuit in order to move the electrons.
Load devices: components receive the electrical energy from the power sources and convert it into other types of useful energy
Control device’s: devices that regulate the circuit; in other words, they allow or prevent the flow of electric Current through the circuit

p 142-143
PARALLEL CIRCUITS: in these circuits, the load devices are connected on different branches of the wire. These are several possible paths for the electric current to flow through
SERIES CIRCUITS: in these circuits, all the components are connected one after the other. This way, all the current flows through all the load devices.
SERIES-PARALLEL COMBINATION CIRCUITS: these circuits contain devices connected in series and in parallel.
p 135
CONDUCTORS: materials that let electric curret flow through them components that transport the electrical energy from the power sources to the load devices. Ex: aluminium

electrical energy is generated industrially in power stations, which convert a form of energy to electrical energy. The use of renewbable energies is being promoted as a green alternative to conventional power stations.
when we save energy, we save natural resources and help to the enviroment.
p 134
Electrical Energy: is the most common form of electricity, because it is easy to obtain.
