open, closed and short circuits
close circuit
when the energy of the power source reaches the load decives, so the electric current flows
-
Open circuit
when the energy of the power source can not reach the load decives, so the electric can not flow.

electric circuit
-
COMPONENTS
Power source
supply the necessary electrical energy(cell, battery)
-
Load devices
recibe the electrical energy(lamp, motor, buzzer, resistor)

COMPONENTS OF A CIRCUIT
power sources
cell
supplies electrical energy to the rest of the circuit. cells have positive terminal and a negative terminal, this lets them supply electric current to the circuit when they ae conected.

resistor
A load device that opposes the flow of the electric current. converts electrical energy to heat energy

control decives
push swich
push swiches open and close the circuit but only while the button is pushed. These decives can either be normally open(NO) or normally(NC) depending on what they do before they are pressed. NO swiches can also be called push-to-make swiches and NC swiches can be called push-to-break swiches
two-way swich
two-way swiches have two potitions. When we press them, they change from one position to the other.
one-way swich
one-way swiches open or close the circuit when they are pressed. One position opens the circuit and stops the electric current from flowing throught it; the other position closes the circuit and lets the electric current pass
