Abstract:
This article demonstrates the importance of being fully trained in how to conduct groups before trying to put a group together. Throughout the article the new school counselor makes mistakes that lead to more issues. The purpose is to highlight the importance of pre-screening, formation of a group with a focus on one key issue, and the importance of confidentiality.
