1 Identification of specific challenges of the child
The child needs to be observes during a fair amount of time after joining the school if s/he is new
Anxious and stressed when doing academic work
Finds difficult to follow instructions
Not able to focus
Makes frequent and careless mistakes
Finds challenging talking, reading, writing and maths
Not able to socialize
2 Meeting with parents

Explain to them the plan the school has prepared for this child as a start and why these steps have been chosen. (they should all support and develop the learning of the student)
Present the case to the parents where it is explain to them what is the current situation of the child in terms of academic, personal and social development.
Provide examples of activities they can do at home to help the child achieve the goals stetted up by the school.
3 Further observation after parents meeting
Are parents following the school's advices and home activities
How is the student adapting and answering to the new activities and routine
Are teachers following the designated curriculum and the new adaptations
Are there any new activities or positive changes that can help?
Shadow teacher for the student if needed. This teacher will provide more support to the child when s/he needs to focus, further explanations of activities or do some other assignments to support the child.
4 Make a report of the process the student has had and the results so far
Changes seen in the student
Academic
Social
Emotional
Possible new adaptations to the process
Referral of specialised centres or specialists that can provide a wider support to the child and parents through the process.
