- - - - Hard Disk Drive (HDD): HDD was first introduced by IBM in 1956. It weighs one ton and is the same size as a refrigerator. HDD stores data on one or more rapidly rotating magnetic metal platters or disks.
        
        Floppy Disk: The floppy disk was developed at IBM's San Jose laboratory in 1967. Initially, a floppy disk is a disk where no disk can be found, so it is a "floppy disk". Later, plastic covers were added to prevent dust and scratches, and disks of various sizes appeared.
        
        Compact Disc (CD): The CD was jointly developed by Sony and Phillips in 1982. Although the diameter of a CD is only 12 cm, when it was first introduced, it could hold more data than a personal computer's hard drive.
        
        Digital Video Disc (DVD): DVDs use the same optical functions as CDs to store data and increase storage capacity. This time, DVD changed the movie industry and eliminated the widely used Video Home System.
        
        SD Card: SD cards use flash memory, which stores data in cells made of floating gate transistors. The card is small and thin, making it ideal for digital photography and video recording.
        
        USB Flash Drive: Similar to SD cards, USB flash drives use flash memory. Since the USB flash drive has been inserted into the USB port of the computer for data transfer, it can easily become a portable storage device.
