- - - - Student agency is at the core of the PYP. Allowing students agency over their learning increases engagement and self efficacy.
      - Approaches to teaching and learning help students build the attributes of the learner profile. They allow the students the agency and space to develop themselves in a wholistic way
      - The PYP is a three dimensional curriculum in the sense that it does not just concern itself with knowledge and skills but also develops overarching conceptual understanding
      - The inquiry cycle is a useful tool that can be used to help map the learning of a unit
      - Assessment is used to drive forward the learning. It allows us to build upon prior knowledge and skills and conceptual understandings.
      - The key concepts overarch the knowledge and skills that are developed in the units of inquiry and make links between units. They give rise to related concepts and more specific conceptual learning.
