Next, students will review key vocabulary with flashcards that are premade. Students will practice spelling, enunciating, and saying its definition. Plant parts will be at this station.
As one student holds the flashcard, another student will touch each part and take turns spelling, enunciating, and saying its definition in the form of a song (to add on to their knowledge) ending their song by naming one part that’s edible and an example. The two students who need to be tested will work with the teacher to form their song (as the backup singer) as needed. These students will need to verbally demonstrate their knowledge of these terms with the teacher, before moving on to the next activity
Following the activity, the student will write and/or illustrate on a posterboard each word and share with the teacher and those at the Handy Station
The two students who need to be tested will be referred to the Student Learning Service to be tested
