Temporal Lobe
Association: Interpret sensory experiences and remember visual scenes, music, and other complex sensory patterns.
Sensory: Responsible for hearing
Insular Cortex
Association: Injury to the motor may impair ability to produce purposeful muscular movements.
Frontal Lobe
Motor: Controls movements of voluntary skeletal muscles
Association: Carry on higher intellectual processes for concentrating, planning, complex problem solving, and judging consequences of behavior.
Frontal Eye Field: Control of visual attention and eye movement
Broca's Area: An anterior to the primary motor cortex and superior to the lateral sulcus
Occipital Lobe
Association: Combines visual images with other sensory experiences
Sensory: Areas are responsible for vision.
Parietal Lobe
Association: Function by understanding speech and using words to express thoughts and feelings
Sensory: Provide sensations of temperature, touch, pressure, and pain involving the skin
Wernicke's Area: Responsible for the comprehension of speech
