What?
If you are an athenian and you have beef with this person or he is just not acting like a decent human being you can bring it up to a Magistrate. And the Magistrate can give a fine or punishment to the person, other times they could take it to court.
Who?
The juries run the court, to become a jury you will have to be 30+ A male and a citizen of Ancient Athens to be chosen in a lottery for the prize of taking the role of a jury. Magistrates are officers of the court who were chosen by lottery and have a 1 year term.

Assembly
The assembly takes place every 8 - 10 days and at least 6000 citizens needed to be preseant to vote and they would debate on issues like taxes, rights and laws.
The council of 500
The council of 500 is a full time government chosen by lottery and the term is 1 year. Citizens of athens are divided into 10 tribes and 50 members for each tribe over the age of 30 served as the Council.

A Tyrant is a cruel and opperessive ruler that will do anything for the sake of power. Example: Joseph Stalin
