Glasshouses
Advantages
Covers do not have to be replaced very often.
Can be found in great designs and colors.
It's metal can be kept from oxidizing.
Has more vents.
Most of them have rainwater collectors.
Disadvantages
It can take up to 3 months for supplies to come through, so we have pre-plan.
A flat area is needed, which can, for some people, make people's preparation longer.
Polytunnels
Advantages
Has more space for plants
More flexibility for modification
Has more height for taller plants
Disadvantages
Do not have a long life; needed to be changed from time to time.
Hard to construct because of lightness (wind can cause problems) and flexibility.
If is damaged, has to be taped. It cannot be permanent and can cause problems.
It can be damaged by animals
Ventilation has to be done by opening both doors of the polytunnel.
