Clinical Manifestations: Based o the levels of the steroid hormones. Glucocorticoids: weakens, poor stress response, fatigue, anorexia and anxiety . Mineralocorticoids: dehydration, hyperkalemia, hypotension, weakness and shock. Androgen: sparse axillary, pubic hair in women.
Diagnostic Criteria: depends on clinical presentation and laboratory analysis of electrolytes. Serum corticosteroid levels.
Treatment: Treatment involves taking hormones to replace those not produced by the adrenal glands. Tuberculosis bacteria can also destroy the adrenal gland, treatment for this includes antibiotics.
