Performance Assessments are assessments in which students are tested on their ability to perform a task and not answering normal test questions.
Example: Model projects in which students create something related to the content
Example: Reader's Theater or an activity in which students are assessed on their ability to act out a story.
Summative:
These types of assessments are more grade-heavy than formative assessments. They are usually taken at the end of a unit or chunk of learning.
Interim/Benchmarks assessments are given to assess if a student's learning is on track. These assessments are used to see if students are prepared for future learning.
