Employment
Formal Economy
As education increases more companies are offering jobs to local people. Also as more schools and universities are built education will become more widespread
Informal Economy
Even if you don't have qualifications there are many jobs to do like street vendors. These jobs are usually very low paying and you have to work in very bad conditions. The government is trying to reduce this sector as it means people aren't paying tax which they need to make Lagos a better place.

Lagos offers a reasonably reliable water supply but is it too expensive for most and it is just not financially viable.
Energy
Lagos provides good access to energy although there are many power cuts which affect industry, water supply and other services.
Currently 80% of the urban population relies upon diesel generators which is the main cause of pollution. There is a project in place to provide a 100% access to energy and at least 20% use of renewables by 2030
Crime
In order to tackle high level of armed muggings, the city has bought 3 helicopters to spot crimes. There are also police and military patrols and upgraded street lights. But these aren't very effective. Many rich people hire private security firms.

Although healthcare isn't free it is available for people although there may be long queues to see a doctor. Also many rich people go abroad as they don't trust the local system

Housing
75% of people in Lagos living in a household with only 1 room. This means they are living in overcrowded conditions which can be bad for people's mental health and general health as it means disease can spread more easily
Facilities
90% of people lack a kitchen, bath. This is very bad for hygiene as it means they have no proper system to remove waste or a clean place to make food. This can lead to illnesses and can affect the people very badly.
55% of people use a pit latrine and 2% have no toilet at all which is very bad for hygiene and can lead to the spread of disease
Water Supply
Only 11% of people in Lagos get piped water and 55% of people get their water from wells or boreholes which may not be clean. This can lead to diseases spreading and many people getting ill putting pressure on the healthcare system.

Bus rapid transport system provides public transport to the people and have their own lanes to reduce travel times.
