Reduce
buy less products, reduce the amount of resources used for the packaging and manufacturing, stop storing products in warehouses, reduce transport by purchasing locally

Rethink
Consider whether the purchase is needed. For manufacturers rethink whether the packaging and product life cycle is sustainable- is there more material than needed, is it recyclable?
Refuse
Refuse unsustainable products that product lots of waste. They have the choice to choose more sustainable products. Eg, choosing a reusable cup or mug rather than a disposable take out paper cup

Repair
rather than disposing of products, it is easier to repair and replace components. It is also cheaper as it requires less tools.
