Importance of music

Music is so important to me. It is like my lifelong partner. Music can help you so much. You can play something and you like it. You will want to do more, and more. It can also be a way to attract people to get yourself more attention sometimes if you play it well. But most importantly, music is so important because there is no pressure mostly in doing it. It is not like it is a requirement for you to take a test like me for music, but you can groove, dance, enjoy and have fun with it! You can dance to the beat. You can start different challenges to people if you watch MVs. It links so much to the other things. Dance, Art, Wellbeing......who can name it all! It is so important, and I don't think anyone can live without the world of music.

Baroque is the second period that humans start to be interested in music, after the Renaissance period. Baroque had a lot of great musicians, like Bach, Corelli and Handel. Their music includes lots of voices and their score is not very complicated, as dynamics weren't as developed back then. It lasted for 150 years, from 1600-1750.

The classical period is a very important period for the history of music, as music started to develop very quickly and although it only lasted for 90 years from 1730-1820, a lot of composers have emerged and created some of the most famous songs, like Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven and the Turkish March by Mozart.

The Romantic Period happened between 1800 and 1850 and songs started to get more complicated, in which it starts to be polyphonic (chords aren't sounding right or you can call it dissonant), however the songs can be slow and be perfect for dating sometimes because it gets very warm and the use of pedal and other musical techniques makes you picture a romantic scene all the time! Famous musicians include Chopin, Liszt and Debussy.

20th century basically lasts from 1901-2000, the whole of it. Songs get even more dissonant and you start to feel like as the music in this period gets very fast sometimes, it makes you think of the jazzy music we have now. Jazz was developed in this century and this has soon been very famous in the next generations. Gershwin and Copland are all very famous 20th century composers and musicians.

Rock music emerged as very popular all around the world around the last 60-70 years, when bands like the Beatles and Queen amazed the world by their rock hits that made everyone groove and be entertained in the rock atmosphere!
