The Consequenses of the Printing Press
Citizens from the region that the printing press originated from (Mainz, Germany) benefitted first from the massive increase in literature distribution following the invention of the movable type printing press
Once reaching the rest of Europe, the printing press was used for hundreds of years later
Many people who formerly were hired for their skill in the wooden block "carving" may have lost their jobs because their expertise would be no longer needed
Saving trees because there was less use of the wood block method
People who were formerly unable to afford to print stuff in the press where now able to print stuff for a cheaper cost
More people are able to write, and publish. More authors means "better" books
Faster production of newspaper, books etc.
More Books were made, spreading literature and intellect for people who could not afford them

Book Prices fell by 2/3s because of faster and easier production
Books became really popular and are still used to this day
Newspaper and NEWS in general becomes more common
News spread faster
Europe is suddenly more connected, and are more aware of the current events in both general regions and the entire Europe
The "freedom" of the press allows people to form opinions about current events. The press effectively removes "propaganda" by the ruling party, and allows citizens to know the truth about current affairs.
