The earth has not stopped evolving and continues to do so. One of the biggest changes that it experienced was the formation of the continents.
In 1912, the German scientist Alfred Wegener formulated the hypothesis that all the continents were once together. He called it Pangea and then, they were separated through a process that he called Continental drift.

How did the Earth, the Sun and the planets appear?
Billions of years ago, the whole universe was a huge dense and hot mass, and about 13,800 million years ago, that mass exploded.
It is known as the BIG BANG, a huge explosion that is in continuous expansion.
Over time, some masses stayed closer and they were forming what we now know as galaxies.
A galaxy in particular we are
interested in, what we call today MILKY WAY. We are interested because we are part of it.
