Highest mountain.
Spain has a long coastline and two archipelagos, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.Spain's highest mountain, El Teide , is located on Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
Lowland areas.
Spain also has large lowland areas, such as the wide river valleys of the Ebro and Guadalquivir.
Some areas of Spain are at ahigh elevation. In the centre of then country there is the called the Meseta.There are also mountain ranges, the Sistema Central and the Montes de Toledo.
Outside the Meseta there are mountainous areas such as the Pyrenees and the Sistemas Béticos. The highest mountain on the Iberian Peninsula is Mulhacén, in the Sistema Bético.
Around the border of the Meseta, there are other high mountain ranges such as the Sistema Ibérico, the Cordillera Cantántabrica and the Siera Morena.
