A historian tracked down the story about the captain and the survivors
He spent five years travelling around the world.
He promised his dad he would learn something
sensible
, like accounting, but he didn't.
After that period, he decided to go back home, but he still
went on frequent fishing trips
.
Peter was
under a lot of pressure
to
follow in his father's footsteps
; but preferred to
run away to sea in search of adventure
.
Before they
set out to sea
The school was run by nasty//cruel// nuns who beat them over the head with a Bible

The meeting between the captain and the survivors
Peter saw a boy emerging from the bushes. The boy jumped into the water and started swimming toward his boat
